Watch the recording of the webinar featuring Dr. Ethan Basch.
This on-demand recording with Dr. Ethan Basch, of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill hosted by Carevive’s Dr. Carrie Stricker, will provide an overview of Carevive’s ePROs tools, a presentation by Dr. Basch, and a Q/A session.
Learn how proactively monitoring patient symptoms with the use of electronic patient-reported outcomes (ePROs or PROs) tools can improve clinical outcomes through care team collaboration and early interventions for symptom control.
The Tipping Point
At the ASCO 2017 Annual Meeting Plenary Session in Chicago – the world’s largest oncology meeting – just last month, Dr. Ethan Basch of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill presented results that have been referred to as “the tipping point” for integrating proactive symptom surveillance into routine cancer care. Patients who regularly reported their symptoms via an ePRO technology solution that ensured proactive symptom monitoring by clinicians survived for more than five months longer than those who did not.
This game-changing outcome added to earlier results showing a reduction in ED visits as well as improved quality of life and time on treatment with proactive ePRO symptom monitoring by patients, combined with alerts to clinicians when symptoms worsened or were clinically significant.
This is a great opportunity to listen to Dr. Ethan Basch elaborate on his study findings, including core symptom intervention components.
